SECTION B: ENTRY REQUIREMENTS



    NATIONAL DIPLOMA COURSES



  1. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AND ECOTOURISM
  2. Candidates for National Diploma Wildlife Management and Ecotourism should possess minimum of five (5) credits passes in SSCE, NECO or GCE 'O' level, NABTEB in NOT more than two sittings.
    The subjects must include: Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Mathematics, English Language and one other subject from the following: Commerce/Economics, Physics, French Language, Chemistry, Religious Knowlegde.

  3. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) LEISURE AND TOURISM
  4. Candidates for National Diploma Leisure and Tourism should possess minimum of five (5) credits passes in SSCE, NECO or GCE 'O' level, NABTEB in NOT more than two sittings.
    The subject must include: English Language, Geography, Mathematics and any two from the following: Economics/Commerce, History, Government, Biology, Food and Nutrition, Book keeping, Principles of Accounting, Fine Arts, Nigerian Language, Home Economics, Chemistry and French Language.

  5. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) ANIMAL HEALTH AND PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY
  6. Candidates for National Diploma Animal Production Technology should possess minimum of five (5) credits passes in SSCE, NECO or GCE 'O' level, NABTEB in NOT more than two sittings.
    The subjects must include: Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English langaue and any two other subjects from the following: Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian language, Home economics.

  7. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) FORESTRY TECHNOLOGY
  8. Candidates for National Diploma Forestry Technology should possess minimum of five (5) credits passes in SSCE, NECO or GCE 'O' level, NABTEB in NOT more than two sittings.
    The subjects must include: Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language and any two other subjects from the following: Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian language, Home economics. Atleast pass in Chemistry is compulsory.

  9. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) COMPUTER SCIENCE
  10. Candidates for National Diploma Computer Science should possess minimum of five (5) credits passes in SSCE, NECO or GCE 'O' level, NABTEB in NOT more than two sittings.
    The subject must include: Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry/Physics and any two from the following: Economics, Further Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Sciences, Typewriting.

  11. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) AGRIC TECHNOLOGY
  12. Candidates for National Diploma Animal Production Technology should possess minimum of five (5) credits passes in SSCE, NECO or GCE 'O' level, NABTEB in NOT more than two sittings.
    The subjects must include: Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language, Physics or Chemistry, and any one of the following subjects: Geography, Economics/Commerce, Geography, Further Mathematics.

  13. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) HORTICULTURE AND LANDSCAPPING
  14. Candidates for National Diploma Computer Science should possess minimum of five (5) credits passes in SSCE, NECO or GCE 'O' level, NABTEB in NOT more than two sittings.
    The subjects must include: Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English langaue and any two other subjects from the following: Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian language, Home economics.

    NOTE: Candidates who have successfully completed National Board for Technical education (NBTE) recognized Pre-National Diploma in Science and Technology course may be admitted. Such applicants must ave passed Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language at WASSCE/NECO or GCE O'Level, NABTEB before undertaking the Pre-National Diploma course and with MPCE result.



    HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA COURSES



  15. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO THE HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AND ECOTOURISM
  16. Applicants must possess the following:

    • At least five (5) credits passes at WASSCE, NECO, GCE O'LEVEL, NABTEB, in NOT more than two sittings. The subjects must include: Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Mathematics, English Language and one other subject from the following: Commerce/Economics, Physics, French Language, Chemistry, Religious Knowlegde.
    • Any of the requirements for admission into the National Diploma Programme
    • A minimum of lower credit pass in National Diploma Wildlife and Ecotourism, Forestry, Agriculture, Horticulture, and allied disciplines obtained from a recognised college of agriculture or polytechnic. A minimum of one year cognate experience
    • National Diploma holders with passes in the Diploma examinations with two or more years of cognate experience in the specific fields may be considered

  17. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO THE HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) ANIMAL PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY
  18. Applicants must possess the following:

    • At least five (5) credits passes at WASSCE, NECO, GCE O'LEVEL, NABTEB, in NOT more than two sittings. The subjects must include: Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, and any three other subjects from the following: Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical drawing, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian language, Home economics. Atleast passess in English Language and Chemistry are compulsory.
    • Any of the requirements for admission into the National Diploma Programme Agricultural Techniques
    • A minimum of lower credit pass in cognate National Diploma in Agricultural technology and allied disciplines obtained from a recognised college of agriculture or polytechnic plus a minimum of one year cognate experience
    • National Diploma holders with passes in the Diploma examinations with two or more years of cognate experience in the specific fields may be considered

  19. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO THE HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) LEISURE AND TOURISM
  20. Applicants must possess the following:

    • At least five (5) credits passes at WASSCE, NECO, GCE O'LEVEL, NABTEB, in NOT more than two sittings. The subject must include: English Language, Geography, Mathematics and any two from the following: Economics/Commerce, History, Government, Biology, Food and Nutrition, Book keeping, Principles of Accounting, Fine Arts, Nigerian Language, Home Economics, Chemistry and French Language.
    • Any of the requirements for admission into the National Diploma Programme Leisure and Tourism
    • A minimum of lower credit pass in cognate National Diploma in Tourism, Catering and hotel management from any NABTEB accredited colleges and polytchnic plus a minimum of one year cognate experience
    • National Diploma holders with passes in the Diploma examinations with two or more years of cognate experience in the specific fields may be considered

  21. QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO THE HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) AGRIC EXTENSION MANAGEMENT
  22. Applicants must possess the following:

    • At least five (5) credits passes at WASSCE, NECO, GCE O'LEVEL, NABTEB, in NOT more than two sittings. The subjects must include: Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English langaue and any two other subjects from the following: Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian language, Home economics.
    • Any of the requirements for admission into the National Diploma Programme Leisure and Tourism
    • A minimum of lower credit pass in cognate National Diploma in Tourism, Catering and hotel management from any NABTEB accredited colleges and polytchnic plus a minimum of one year cognate experience
    • National Diploma holders with passes in the Diploma examinations with two or more years of cognate experience in the specific fields may be considered
